The iPhone was initially released only by AT&T, and it did not work with other carriers at launch. Green decided to keep the first generation iPhone sealed because she didn’t want to lose her Verizon phone lines. Now, 16 years later, her decision to stay with Verizon has brought forth some amazing rewards.

In recent years, the price of original iPhones has skyrocketed as prices reached $39,000 for a sealed iPhone

Green was shocked to hear about the rising prices for original iPhones sealed in their original packaging. She couldn’t help but look at the old device on her shelf. She told that she thought, “Oh my God, it seems I have the original,”

It is not surprising that Apple has spent such a large sum on the original iPhone boxed. This is despite the rapid rise over the past two decades. These shares would have a value of $53,000 if you had purchased $1000 worth of AAPL shares on the date of the iPhone unveiling.

You could have bought a sealed phone thinking it would be the future, or thinking that Apple would make history by investing in the company. Let’s just say that you would be sitting on quite a lot of money today.
