Several factual Mistakes Were Made in The Launch Demo of Microsoft’s Bing A.I.

AI experts refer to the phenomenon as “hallucination,” which is the tendency of large-language models to make things up. Google released a rival AI tool last week that included factual errors, although they were quickly pointed out by viewers.

Both companies are eager to integrate new types of generative AI into search engines. This is in response to ChatGPT’s November introduction to the public. OpenAI has raised billions of dollars from Microsoft while rival startups such as Hugging Face and Stability AI have also risen to billion dollar valuations through private funding rounds.
