The C.D.C. would undergo an extensive revaluation, the Director of the agency said
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDCP) will be subject to a comprehensive evaluation and review for a month. This is the first step in modernizing the agency’s systems and processes and making it more sustainable for the future, Dr. Rochelle Walensky, the agency director, announced Monday.

This move comes after months of unrelenting criticism of the agency’s handling of the pandemic.
Jim Macrae will conduct the review. He was the acting administrator of the Health Resources & Services Administration for the past two years and also held other high-ranking positions at the federal Department of Health and Human Services.
