C.D.C. spokesperson said that the agency has worked to speed up data reporting and scientific processes over the past year, but that more needs to be done. A spokesperson for the C.D.C. stated that while the agency had made efforts to speed up data reporting, and scientific processes, and that they are still working on it, more work is needed to find “new ways to adapt our agency’s structure to the changing world.”
