Google searches for a clinic offering abortions, online orders for pills, location pings at doctors’ offices, and texts about ending a pregnancy can all be sources of evidence. Privacy advocates claim that people share information about their fertility online all the time, even though they may not realize it. Other sources of health data include period-tracking apps, digital check-in forms at hospitals, and digital check-in forms.
