Fitbit’s ‘by Google” Branding Begins to Dominate Ahead of The Forthcoming Pixel Watch Integration

Today, Fitbit unveiled its new line of smartwatches as well as a new fitness tracker. It’s evident that the brand’s new owner is more influential than ever. “Fitbit By Google” is the new brand for Fitbit ahead of the Pixel Watch that will bring Fitbit to Google’s hardware line-up.

You’ll see “by Google” in the navigation menu of Fitbit.com. This connection isn’t as strong as in past examples such as when Google’s smartwatch platform was called “Wear OS by Google”. However, that branding has mostly faded as the platform becomes more adaptable for partners.
