Wireless Earbuds for Air Pods have arrived!

If you find yourself fumbling with the charging case’s lid, it may be worth twisting the Ear (stick), to burn off nervous energy. However, the case has many functional benefits, especially for people who tend to drop their devices. The Ear (stick), on the other hand, is protected from accidental drops by a charging case that has a hinged lid.

The new Nothing Ear (stick) will not be available for purchase until November 4, when they go on sale in 40 countries.

The Ear (stick), despite its improved wireless connectivity, has a new antenna that is placed closer to the user’s face to minimize interference. The Ear (stick’s stems replace the touch sensitive strip (1) that allowed swipe gestures with the Ear (1) by pressing or squeezing controls that allow for more reliable control of playback, volume adjustment, and taking calls.

The earbuds’ battery life is estimated to last seven hours, and the charging case can provide 22 hours of use when the device is disconnected from the power source. The case also offers fast charging, with a dock that takes only 10 minutes and promises an additional two hours of listening. This is slightly less than Ear(1)’s battery life, despite the additional drain of ANC.

It is not surprising that pairing wireless earbuds with the Phone (stick) provides the best experience (1). Frequently used controls are easily accessible in Quick Settings on the phone while the earbuds have been paired. All the functionality will also be available via the new Nothing X app, which will soon be available for Android and iOS devices.

Carl Pei posted last week on Twitter that nothing was increasing the price of its Ear (1) wireless headphones to $149. He cited “an increase in costs” as the primary reason. The new Ear (stick), which will replace the $99 price, played probably a larger role in the price hike. The version with ANC would have been the most obvious option if both versions were identically priced.
