SpaceX Checked Out Starlink Internet in Antarctica Using Space Lasers

Starlink has reached the southernmost continent and beams broadband internet to an Antarctica research center. McMurdo Station is a U.S. Antarctic Program research station that is currently testing a Starlink terminal in order to improve its connectivity.

The National Science Foundation (NSF) funds the program. This week, Twitter announced that the #Antarctica-based USAP scientists are thrilled with the latest development. Starlink is testing polar services with a McMurdo Station user terminal, increasing connectivity and bandwidth for science support.
