Mark Zuckerberg: Meta will test selling virtual products in the metaverse

The game was published by Meta on Oculus VR headsets in Canada and the U.S. on December 9 but has yet to be released worldwide.

Companies and individuals have been buying up virtual land on platforms such as Decentraland and The SandBox over the past few months. Snoop Dogg, a hip-hop superstar, has bought virtual land. a fan paid $450,000 to purchase a plot right next to him on The Sandbox in December.

Although buying and selling digital assets was not possible before Horizon Worlds, the company now realizes that there are opportunities to make money in the metaverse. Citi Bank estimates the metaverse economy will be worth between $8 trillion to 13 trillion dollars by 2030.
