Lenovo ThinkPad Fold Hands-on with Large Upgrades Inside and Out
The original ThinkPad X1 fold was an ambitious laptop. It was the first to have a flexible OLED screen. It was also quite experimental. Although the concept was promising, its software, performance, and design were clearly not ready for prime time. Two years later, Lenovo returned with a second attempt. This time, it boasts some significant generational leaps.
Sharp’s first major upgrade to the X1 Fold is a larger 16.3-inch OLED screen. It has a slightly higher resolution of 2.5K, and the larger screen size means that you have more screen space. You get a device that folds up to be closer to a 12-inch laptop than the previous model. The X1 Fold should be more useful when space is a concern, such as when you need to work on an airplane.
