The biggest challenge facing Democrats this year is pain at the pump. Just under 2/3 of Americans (39%), or slightly (24%), are enthusiastic about voting with the elections just seven months away.

The poll showed that 55% of Republicans are more enthusiastic about voting than 35% of Democrats. This sets the stage for a difficult election year for Democrats who will need to be more intense on their side. The opposite is true for Democrats, with 13 percent saying they are not enthusiastic about the November elections. This is compared to 5% of Republicans.
