Apple increases starting hourly wages for US workers to $22

Apple will increase the starting salary for its US employees, the iPhone maker announced on Wednesday. This is in response to a tight labor market, and a rise in unionization efforts due to rising inflation.

Apple ( AAPL ) stated in a statement that the starting salary for US team members will increase to $22 an hour or more based on the market. This is a 45% increase over 2018 levels.
