Apple increases starting hourly wages for US workers to $22

Apple has informed workers that their annual reviews will be extended by three months.

The new pay will go into effect in July.

Apple didn’t immediately respond to Wall Street Journal’s request for more information on the compensation changes.

Cupertino is a California-based Apple. It’s known for its preserved culture. However, some former and current employees began to criticize the company’s working conditions online last year.

Workers at Apple’s Atlanta location filed a petition in April to hold a union election. They wanted to be the first US store to unionize after a wave of labor activity at major companies.
