“We control them all”: Donald Trump Jr. sent Meadows ideas to overturn the 2020 election before it was called

The message stated that we have total operational control. “Moral High Ground POTUS must begin 2nd term immediately.”

Trump Jr.’s text is quite revealing on many levels. It shows that those closest to Trump Jr. were already discussing ways to reverse the election, months before the January 6 rebellion. And before all votes had been counted. Two more days would pass before major news outlets declared Joe Biden the winner on November 7.

This text adds to the growing evidence that Trump’s inner circle actively participated in discussions about how to challenge election results.

Judge David Carter, a California federal judge, stated that Trump and John Eastman launched an “unprecedented campaign” to overturn a democratic electoral process. He called it “a coup in pursuit of a legal theory.”

George Terwilliger is an attorney representing Meadows. He declined to comment on this story. The spokesperson for the House Select Committee declined to comment.

The Trump campaign strategy: Foreshadowing

Trump and his associates filed over 60 unsuccessful lawsuits in key States within the week following the 2020 election. They failed to convince the courts that their claims of a stolen election were valid or uncover evidence of widespread voter fraud.

They also demanded that different recounts be conducted based on the same unfounded voter fraud allegations. Several states did recounts within the first few months of the election. However, none of them found any significant fraud that could have affected the outcome.

Trump Jr. was promoting various voter fraud conspiracy theories, and casting doubt on the results in states such as Pennsylvania and Georgia. However, Meadows’ text to him reveals that there were other ideas being considered privately.
