Matt Gaetz calls for an end to the $600 million ‘Tax Cheat Loophole’ at Disney

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R.FL) stated in an op-ed Friday, that the Florida legislature should close Disney’s tax cheat loophole of $600 million.

In an op-ed, Gaetz explained that Walt Disney Corporation has benefited from a loophole in the Florida tax code that has allowed it to possibly skirt around hundreds of million dollars in state corporate income taxes. Gaetz, who was a former chairman of Finance and Tax in Florida, suggested that Florida join other states to adopt combined reporting of state corporate income tax.
