Ukraine Will Accept Donations In Dogecoin And Other Cryptocurrencies As The Funding Grows To $35 Million

As Russia continues to invade Ukraine, the country has increased the number of cryptocurrency it accepts for donations towards its military.

Mykhailo Fedorov (Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine) announced Wednesday that people could send dogecoin to make a donation. Dogecoin, a cryptocurrency was originally created as a joke by Elon Musk .

It is sometimes called a “memecoin,” in reference to internet jokes.

Fedorov tweeted, “Now meme can support army and save lives against Russian invaders.”
