Ukraine Will Accept Donations In Dogecoin And Other Cryptocurrencies As The Funding Grows To $35 Million

Although cryptocurrency donations can help Ukraine raise money for its resistance, the country has raised more through war bonds . These have raised about 8.14 billion Ukrainian Hryvnia ($270m).

An official account of the Ukraine government tweeted Wednesday that an “airdrop”, which would be held on Thursday, was confirmed. Airdrops are usually where an individual or entity gives away cryptocurrency free of charge. Details were not available and it was unclear to whom and what digital currency.

The war between Russia, Ukraine and Cryptocurrencies has become a major feature. Although it has been suggested that Russians might use cryptocurrency to escape sanctions, experts stated that this could prove to be very difficult.

Fedorov last week called upon major cryptocurrency exchanges for blocking accounts of Russian users. Binance, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the world, stated that it would block addresses for any user who had been sanctioned but not all Russian accounts.
