Anne Heche Being Investigated for Felony DUI in Connection to A Car Crash
Anne Heche is being investigated for felony DUI following the crash of her Mini Cooper into a Los Angeles residence on Friday.
Los Angeles Police Department escalated their investigation into a felony after a woman claimed that she was injured and required medical assistance following Heche’s crash into her house, TMZ reported Wednesday.
This is a new development after Page Six confirmed Monday, that cops were given a warrant for testing the blood of the actress to determine if she was impaired by drugs or alcohol at the time of her accident.
Officers believe Heche (53), was drunk when she crashed her car into buildings and then it caught fire. After the car caught fire, she sustained severe burns.
“The information we received this morning was a warrant that was obtained on the same date as the traffic collision which occurred August 5. A representative for the LAPD explained to Page Six that the warrant was to draw blood. An investigation is continuing pending the results of the blood tests.
“If Heche is found intoxicated, [Heche] may be charged with misdemeanor DUI hit-and-run. So far, no arrests have been made.”
