Ukraine Airbnbs Get Bookings To Raise Money For Their Residents

To help residents in extreme financial hardship due to the Russian invasion, members of the public pay for Airbnb rentals in Ukraine.

The home rental platform has already moved to provide free housing for 100,000 Ukrainian refugees . However, members of the general public have devised a new way to help those trapped or intending to stay in the country due to conflict.

A couple made a booking for March 3-10 in Kyiv. They posted confirmation via Twitter: “Hello Maria! My wife and I just booked your apartment for one-week, but we won’t be visiting.” This is to make sure you get some money.
