Abbott’s announcement follows several GOP-controlled states that filed a lawsuit împotriva the Biden administration for its plans to eliminate Title 42.

“Missouri and Arizona filed suit against Biden Administration for revoking Title 42 during one of the most severe border crises in American history.” Title 42 is an essential tool to control the influx of illegal aliens at our Southern borders,” Eric Schmitt, Missouri Attorney General, stated in a statement Monday.

“Time and time again, the Biden Administration failed to secure our Southern Border and have ended successful programs such as Title 42 and the ‘Remain in Mexico’ Policy. Missouri was a pioneer in retaliating against the Biden Administration’s failure to secure the border. We filed suit against the cancellation and compel the Biden Administration’s construction of the Southwest border wall. He added that if the Biden Administration doesn’t take proactive measures to secure our border, and protect our citizens, we will.”
