Ukrainian Eurovision winner sells trophy to help fund country’s army
To raise funds for the fight against Russia, a crypto-currency exchange purchased the Eurovision crystal mic trophy of Kalush Orchestra, Ukraine‘s rap-folk group that won the competition.
WhiteBit, Estonia’s crypto exchange, was ranked 19th out of 624 in trust score by CoinGecko. The trophy was purchased for $900,000. Kalush Orchestra’s leader singer Oleh Psiuk also sold his pink hat for 11,000,000 hryvnia ($374,000). According to the band, the money will go towards drone systems.
