The Eurovision Song Contest was won by Kalush Orchestra amid overwhelming support from viewers across Europe for their song Stefania. They dedicated it to all Ukrainian mothers. The song was recorded in video among the rubble of buildings that were destroyed by the Russian invasion.

After repelling an initial Kremlin-led attack, the Ukrainian military is now facing a renewed Russian push for territory in the east with a more concentrated offensive and greater firepower.

Russian troops control nearly all of Luhansk and threaten to encircle thousands more of Ukraine’s most skilled troops. This has led to Kyiv government to make increasingly urgent requests for military assistance.
