Biden Administration Supports Transgender Youths Sex-change, ‘Top Surgery’ And Hormone Therapy
Biden advised parents of transgender kids that affirming their child’s identity was one of the best things they can do to keep them safe.
Biden indicated that his administration will fight state laws restricting transgender athletes’ participation, following the national attention paid to Lia Thomas, a transgender swimmer from the University of Pennsylvania, at the NCAA championships.
Biden stated that such state laws are “simply incorrect” and “hateful.” He also said that his administration is standing up for transgender equality at school, work, and in the military.
According to reports, a Texas judge stopped the state investigation of parents who offer medical treatment to their transgender children.
Gov. Greg Abbott referred to gender-affirming therapies as “child abuse”, and directed Texas Child Protective Services (TCPS) to investigate all reported cases. Houston Public Media reported that Attorney General Ken Paxton issued the same legal opinion.
District Court Judge Amy Clark Meachum issued a temporary injunction and stated that the investigations were beyond Abbott’s constitutional authority. He also noted that such instances have never been investigated prior to his order.
