Auction: Princess Diana’s 1985 Ford Escort Fetches $850K

At a Saturday auction in the UK, Princess Diana’s 1985 Ford Escort sold for $850,000. Silverstone Auctions stated that the car, which was owned by People’s Princess from 1985-1988, was sold after a “fierce bid” battle. The final price was $851,070, or 650,000 pounds.

Silverstone stated that the car would sell for more than $118,000 (or 100,000 pounds) days before it was up for bidding.
