Al Ansari stated that security would only be concerned with tournament matches. “Reserve the space together, sleep together. This is not something that we care about. We are here to manage this tournament. We cannot discuss the personal issues that might arise between the participants. This is the core of the tournament. We cannot change these laws. For the 28-day World Cup, you cannot change your religion.

Al Ansari stated that the flags displayed could cause a problem that may get out of control and that they wanted to eliminate that possibility. 

The chief executive of the Qatar World Cup Nasser al Khater has stated that Qatar is “one of the safest countries in the world” and that all fans of any gender, [sexual] orientation or race will be welcomed here.
