The Official From Qatar Says Rainbow Flags Could Be Confiscated In Order To “Protect” World Cup Fans

Al Ansari explained that if he (a fan raised the rainbow flag) took it from him, it wasn’t because I wanted to take it or to really insult him but to protect him. It’s possible for someone else to attack him if it isn’t me. I can’t guarantee the behavior of all the people. 

I will say to him, ‘Please don’t raise that flag at the moment.

“If you want to express your opinion about (LGBTQ), then do it in a society that will accept it. We realize that the man who bought the ticket came to see the game and not to display a political (act or anything which was in his head). You can watch the game. That’s good. However, don’t insult the entire society by doing this.
