Artemyev, in blue flight suits, was captured as the spacecraft prepares to dock with its space station. It was not clear what, if anything, the yellow uniforms that they changed into were meant to communicate.

Artemyev was interviewed about the suits when the cosmonauts were in contact with their families back on Earth. He stated that each crew picked their own suit.
