McDonald’s has launched the sauce to accompany the McNuggets. Trust us when we say that. The sauce goes perfectly with those light and crunchy Chicken McNuggets! For a la carte, you can get the sauce in up to five containers.

Note that this isn’t the first time McDonald’s relaunched the Szechuan sauce! Initially, it was released back in 1998 for a limited sale. They launched the sauce during the release of the Mulan movie. The sauce was available with Happy Meal, Chicken McNuggets, and Mulan Toys. Since then, it has come back thrice, including the 2022 March return.

Later in 2017, the craze for Szechuan sauce returned when it was featured in a Rick and Morty episode. Soon after the episode aired, many viewers demanded the Szechuan sauce on social media platforms!

Following such requests, McDonald’s brought back the condiment for a day on October 1, 2017. Unfortunately, the supplies were less than the demand and many people couldn’t get the taste of it!

Looking at the popularity, McDonald’s promised to bring back the sauce on February 26, 2018, this time with more stocks! They also apologized for the limited Szechuan sauce availability.

Now that it’s back after four years, Szechuan lovers can’t keep calm. The news broke when the fast-food giant came up with a social media post!

Their post read, “Szechuan. Sauce. Is. Coming. Back. In. Just. Ten. Days…i repeat we’re dropping Szechuan Sauce nationwide exclusively on the McDonald’s Apps next week!!”

The company bets that McDonald’s Szechuan sauce has the potential to attract people and download the application. Its deliciousness could encourage people to sign in and purchase the condiment.

McDonald’s worked together with Community, which employs SMS to reach users/customers on a one-on-one basis. This shows how the fast-food chain is using the mobile channel for better sales amidst the take-away orders during the pandemic!

They noticed how these orders became quite popular among the zoomers. As a result, various other fast-food chains tried adapting the same.

Go Try It Out!

A condiment that raised online demand earlier isn’t worth missing! Also, McDonald’s has made it easier for you through app access.

So, as March 31 is approaching, would you team up your Chicken McNuggets with Szechuan sauce? Also, what’s the fuss about? Go find out for yourself.
