Marvel has released the first poster of the miniseries.

It shows Groot relaxing on Peter Quill’s (Chris Pratt’s) Walkman, while two little CG creatures watch him from afar. They are ready to cause him grief and out-cute him. The poster also gives us the release date of the series, August 10, which is just one week before She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. This poster may indicate that we will see a trailer for the series sometime this week.

I Am Groot is the first of two Guardians projects that will be available on Disney+ in 2022. The second is the live-action holiday special. The special, written and directed by James Gunn was produced during the production of Guardians3. It serves as an appetizer for the film’s main event. He’ll also appear with the Guardians in Thor. Love & Thunder, but not for long. We don’t know which Groot will be featured in the holiday film and special. There is a chance that Teen Groot will return, but it’s possible that we end up with a college-aged Groot who passes every test just by luck and barely studies.
