Ford Mustang’s Seventh-generation 2024 Debuts. It’s not aAn Electric Car.

The Ford Mustang 2-door will continue to roll into its seventh decade, without any detour towards electrification. The Detroit unveiling of the seventh-generation 2024 Mustang Wednesday night will feature either a V-8 or a turbocharged four-cylinder engine. There are no plans to offer a hybrid or an electric powertrain.

You can even get it with a manual six-speed transmission.

Jim Farley, Ford CEO, stated to Fox News Digital consumers can purchase the Mustang Mach-E electric sports car but that Mustang owners aren’t interested in that.

Farley stated that hybrid applications in the vehicle line are not an attractive option. 

“They’re expensive. This is appropriate for an F150 that can power your home or a Maverick with 42 mpg. We believe this is the best choice for V-8 customers in this segment.

Farley said that Mustang was one of the reasons I chose to work for the company. The company was dedicated to making cars that were opinionated. They are not the result of extensive consumer research. We believe that cars can still be emotional products and provide an experience that no other products can.
