FIFA has confirmed that Russia was removed from the qualification process to the 2022 World Cup.

This decision was made in the aftermath of Ukraine’s ongoing conflict. Poland was granted a bye into March 29th Path B playoff final.

Poland was due to face Russia in the semi final of the playoff process just days before, but the Polish FA and players decided not to face Russia after the invasion of Ukraine.
