FIFA Confirms Russia Was Kicked Out Qatar World Cup And Poland Has Been Given Bye For The Playoff Final

In the final, Poland will face either the Czech Republic or Sweden.

FIFA released the following statement: “Subsequently to the decision of the UEFA Executive Committee on February 28th, 2022 to suspend all Russian teams participation in FIFA and UEFA competitions till further notice, the Bureau of the FIFA Organising Committee decided Poland would receive a bye into the final of Path B, which will take place on March 29th, 2022. In which they will face the winner of the match between Sweden, Czech Republic.

FIFA confirmed that the semifinal between Ukraine and Scotland in the playoffs has been postponed, but that the semi-final for that section between Wales & Austria will proceed as planned.
