Donald Trump Appears at Ivana Trump’s Burial
Donald Trump is a hateful person when it comes to funerals. But on Wednesday afternoon, Trump took the lead role at the New York City Mass in honor of his first wife, Ivana Trump.
All eyes were on Melania, the former president and first lady of the United States, as she arrived with an entourage from Secret Service to perform the Roman Catholic rite in honor of the charismatic 73-year-old socialite. She was a celebrity long after her 1977-1992 marriage.
Barron Trump, the 16-year-old son of Donald and Melania Trump, sat in the front row with his parents. Tiffany Trump, the daughter of Trump’s second wife Marla Maples, was present, but Maples wasn’t.
Insider was told by R. Couri Hay that the church was filled with a thousand Ivana’s favorite red roses and was “drenched” throughout the two-hour Mass.
The coffin of Ivana was covered in purple fabric and decorated with a golden cross.
It was placed under the high ceiling of the Roman Catholic church.
Hay, a friend of 40 years, said that Ivana would like a huge, glamorous celebration to celebrate her life. “Today, she’s right there she belongs. She’s in the spotlight, and she’s in heaven.
Donald and Melania Trump entered the 1918 Gothic-style Church of St. Vincent Ferrer, Manhattan’s Upper East Side, through an arched limestone or granite side door.
Ivana Trump and Donald Trump’s children, Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka Trump, had already followed the gold-colored casket inside for their private Mass one block away from the place where an accidental fall claimed the life of their mother.
Insiders reported that mourners were welcomed at the church’s front by a guestbook and a large photograph of Hay, a former model, and skiier, in all her 1980s glory. Hay said that Hay looked “glamorous” in a blue dress.
He said that all three of Donald’s and Ivana’s children gave eulogies to their mother.
As she spoke to the 400 mourners, Ivanka broke down several times. Many smiled when Ivanka recalled her mother’s chastisement of her for wearing a “not mini enough” mini skirt.
