Google has a new feature called “Touch to Login” for Android

It allows users to enter their credentials via overlay at the bottom. This “to speed up logging in even more.”

Google’s password manager includes the ability to detect weak passwords and avoid them being reused (and will automatically change them on Android), and autofill saved passwords across all apps other than Chrome on iOS. Google claims it will continue to invest in its password management system to support new technologies such as passwordless passkeys, which Apple intends to bring over to Safari.

Google is reluctant to make its password manager a standalone app despite offering a feature set that’s more comparable to third-party password managers. However, 9to5Google has reported that you can now place a shortcut to Google’s password manager directly from your Android homescreen. This is a huge improvement on having to go through your Android settings in order to find it.
