China May Have Received Signals from Alien Civilizations

The signals were detected by China’s 500-meter Aperture Spherical Radio Telescope, (FAST), the largest single-dish radio telescope in the entire world. The newspaper called it “Sky Eye”.

Zhang Tongjie (a cosmologist) was once called ” China’s top alien hunter.”

According to the newspaper, FAST found “several narrow-band electromagnetic signals different than the past,”

The newspaper also quoted Zhang as saying that the new signals could be radio interference.

It is possible that the suspicious signal could be radio interference. This needs to be confirmed and ruled out. This could be a lengthy process. Zhang said.

Insider’s Azmi Haroun reported that the FAST telescope is located in Guizhou province and can detect faint radio waves from pulsars as well as materials in galaxies far off.

The dish was completed in 2016, and the observatory cost $171 million.

Since September 2020, the telescope’s primary function has been to search for extraterrestrial life. The program is being led by scientists from the University of California Berkeley and Beijing Normal University.

Zhang said that researchers have so far identified two sets, one for 2022 and one for 2019, when they were processing data. Zhang also spoke to Science and Technology Daily.
