Samuel L. Jackson says he’d rather be Nick Fury than win Oscars

The honorary statue is the only Oscar Samuel L. Jackson ever won, but Jackson doesn’t mind it, as he’s been playing the Marvel Cinematic universe stalwart, Nick Fury for over 10 years. According to Jackson, he would rather make a billion-dollar-grossing Marvel movie than win Oscars.

Jackson stated, “As jaded about it as I wanted to, you know thinking: ‘Well…I should have won an Oscar and that didn’t happen.’ Once I got over it many decades ago, it wasn’t a big deal for me,” Jackson added. I always enjoy going to the Oscars. Being a presenter is something I look forward to. [Laughs] I would give things to my family; my daughter and wife would get them. It’s cool…But it was beyond me.”
