Brazil Fines Apple $19 Million for Selling iPhones with No Chargers

Apple was fined $19 million by a civil court in Sao Paulo for selling iPhones with no chargers.

The lawsuit was brought by the Brazilian Consumers’ Organization, which accused Apple of “abusive practices” by failing to include a charger. Judge Caramuru Afonso Francisco concurred, concluding that Apple requires consumers to buy a second product to make the first work.
