Matthew Perry has been open about his addiction history and its aftermath- while promoting his memoir Friends Lovers and The Big Terrible Thing.

The Friends star met with Diane Sawyer to discuss an interview. This was before the book’s publication on Tuesday, November 1. In it, the two discussed everything, from his first drink to the reasons that led him to seek medical treatment for his current health.
