Swedish Engineer Creates Playable Accordion Using 2 Commodore 64 Computers

Linus Akesson, a Swedish software engineer, unveiled a playable accordion in October. It was called ” The Commodordion”. He constructed it out of two old Commodore 64 computers and a bellow made from floppy disks taped together. An 11-minute YouTube video shows the hack in action. Akesson plays Scott Joplin’s ragtime song and details its creation.

Akesson, a multi-talented musician, can actually play the Commodordion live like a real accordion. He can play a melody using his right hand and control the rhythm and bass lines using his left hand.
