Sonic Frontiers Will Provide The Same Experience As Other Platforms

Sonic Frontiers will be released on a variety of platforms, including Nintendo Switch. The handheld Nintendo hybrid is not as powerful as other systems, so some people might be worried about Sonic’s next release. A new interview was conducted with Gaming. Takashi Iizuka, Sonic Frontiers producer, was specifically asked about the Switch version of the game and its performance compared to other versions. Although there will be compromises, Iizuka expressed hope that the new version would be enjoyable.

It is very difficult to develop on such a wide range of hardware.

The good news is that we use the Hedgehog Engine. We developed the Hedgehog Engine internally and have been using it since Sonic Generations. Since 2010, we have been continuously updating it to make multiplatform development as simple as possible. We have been working to improve the engine’s multiplatform capabilities and abilities. We were able, as we saw with Sonic Forces to deliver a game on both the low-end and high-end specs machines,” Iizuka said to GameReactor.

Our artists create tons of content at high levels. If you have a high-spec, powerful PC, that would be great. We also want people to have the same experience when playing on the Nintendo Switch. Although we don’t necessarily use the same high-end resources, the Hedgehog Engine can reduce the size to make it look as similar to a high-end computer on a Nintendo Switch.

However, Sonic has gained a loyal following on Nintendo systems for the past 20 years. Many Switch owners will be closely watching to see what reviews say about the Nintendo version. Sonic Frontiers has been the most anticipated game in the series for a while. Switch owners should be able to enjoy it! S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. You can view all our previous coverage Sonic Frontiers here.
