Russian artillery fired at Ukraine’s largest nuclear power plant. This happened hours after international atomic regulators had warned that fighting at the facility could cause havoc. According to Ukraine authorities, this was just hours after an international atomic regulator warned that such a situation could occur.

According to the International Atomic Energy Agency, it was aware of the incident. It also said that they were in touch with Ukrainian authorities. According to the agency, Ukrainian regulators reported that radiation levels were normal despite shelling and that no “essential” equipment was damaged. Crews were trying to mitigate the damage.

The U.S. Department of Energy stated that it was also monitoring the situation but had not found elevated readings.

After speaking with President Biden, Volodymy Zelenskyy recorded a video in which he urged Europeans to “wake-up”.
