Oprah Winfrey’s $100 Gift suggestion was split by TikTok viewers when a fan asked Her which gift she would recommend for moms.

Some also objected to the second suggestion. “She said, “Oh you poor?” “I got a better present for you,” was one comment that attracted over 4,800 likes. “Oprah said that I won’t even try to give you $50 here you go from your heart,” read one comment of over 300 likes.

TikTok user @amandachristine_1 shared a portion of the interview as a video. She said that although she loves Oprah, this clip in which she says $100 isn’t a lot is driving her out.

Winfrey was defended by other viewers. “Oprah is a billionaire, but she gave a gift idea that was $100…but you’ll say she’s out-of-touch lol,” a comment shared with more than 2,600 likes. “I believe Oprah handled it and answered this very well,” was a comment that received over 77 likes.

TikToker @lawirk posted a reaction to the clip. Winfrey was asked to pick her favorite gift, but not the most expensive. He said that most of her favorite gifts would cost $100 or more. She gave a great option for Christmas gifts for someone with a job.

Winfrey is not the first to be accused of being “out-of-touch.” In a 2017 interview, Winfrey stated that she hadn’t been to a bank in 28 years and decided to deposit $2 million “just to do it.”

Over the past 25 years, Winfrey hosted “The Oprah Winfrey Show.” She launched OWN in 2011 and now has a net worth of $2.5 Billion, Forbes reported.

Her website OprahDaily has a holiday gift guide called ” Oprah’s Favorite Items 2022″, which features 104 gift suggestions. Although it doesn’t include a $100 red jewelry box, it does offer a variety of affordable options such as $18 gloves and reading glasses for $29 each. Insider reached out to Winfrey for comment but she did not respond immediately.

The date of the footage is not known. The TikTok account @10gsocial is followed by over 4,000 people and often posts interviews with celebrities Snoop Dogg and Tony Hawk. The insider did not receive a response immediately to the account.
