In January 2022, the National Institutes of Health (NIH), awarded $170 million to help fund institutions in the US to conduct a five year study that included 10,000 participants. This was the beginning of an ambitious program called nutrition for precision health (NPH).

CNN spoke with Holly Nicastro (program director at the NIH office for nutrition research and coordinator of NPH) about the project’s goals and the impact of AI on our health. AI helps us to create optimal diets and improve our overall health.
