NFL Owners Approve New Overtime Rules To Ensure That Each Team Receives A Possession

According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Media, one NFL coach already predicts that the teams that score a TD in OT first will attempt to convert for a two-point conversion. This would allow the second team to score a TD and win the game. The second team would win the game with a TD if the first team scores a field goal.

The regular-season OT rules may be modified to reflect the updated postseason rules.
