NASA ensures 5k Exoplanets Beyond Our Solar System: Each a “New World”

We have a remarkable pace of discovery. The first exoplanets were discovered in the 1990s. NASA reported that the planet count had reached 4,000 by June 2019 and that it would take less than three years for another thousand to be added to this total.

For finding these distant planets, we can thank the hard work of researchers as well as the data collected by missions such as the Kepler Space Telescope (now retired) and the Transiting Eoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS).
