Manchester City Confirming Plans for 2022 USA Pre-Season Tour

Stated Manchester City shouldn’t be in the traditional curtain raiser to the new season. That would happen if they fail to win the Premier League, FA Cup, or finish below 2nd place if both trophies were taken home by the exact same team. The trip could then last longer.

It had been expected that Manchester City would travel by January to Abu Dhabi as part of a warm-weather training camp, but this was canceled due to growing concerns over the possibility of Covid-19 being infected by Pep Guardiola’s team and backroom staff.

For the moment, the attention will be on the on-field activities. The club is currently involved in a fierce Premier League title race with Liverpool. A FA Cup quarter-final is also on the horizon.
