Heard is appealing the verdict.

“The jury was vetted and the juror sat for all of them, deliberated, then reached a verdict. This Court has no evidence other than that the juror and all jurors have complied with their oaths, Court instructions, and orders. Judge Azcarate stated that this Court is bound to the competent verdict of the jury.

Azcarate said that if Heard’s legal team had a problem with the jury selection process they should have addressed it during the trial’s weeks-long proceedings.

The order states that a party can’t wait to receive an adverse verdict in order to object for the first time on an issue known from the beginning of the trial.

Depp’s attorneys filed a response memo last week against Heard’s posttrial motions. The judge was not yet ready to make a decision.

“While Ms. Heard throws an extraordinary amount of mud at a wall in the hope it might stick, the jury verdict on damages was perfectly reasonable. This is according to Depp’s memo.
