HBO Declares House of The Dragon Their Biggest Premiere with over 10 Million US Viewers

There seems to be an answer to the question of whether viewers are still interested in the series despite the conclusion of the last season. This is despite the fact that so many people switching to streaming over cable over the past two years. Casey Bloys, HBO’s chief content officer, stated in a statement that it was “amazing to see millions of Game of Thrones fans return to Westeros last evening.” We are thrilled with the positive response from viewers.

Although it is difficult to compare the numbers, they are noteworthy for HBO Max and HBO.

They come after a few weeks of confusing choices by its corporate parent Warner Bros. Discovery. Recently, executives tossed the intended for-HBO Max Batgirl film into the vault. They also removed many beloved animated titles from streaming and pulled hundreds of Sesame Street episodes from HBO Max.

It is also competing in the swords and sorcery subgenre. Amazon‘s Prime Video launched its own epic high-priced epic on September 2, during The Lord of the Rings, The Rings of Power premieres. The Lord of the Rings series will debut at 9 PM ET on Thursday nights with two episodes. It then rolls out one episode each week at midnight (ET), Friday mornings until the final episode, which is scheduled for release on October 14. Every Sunday at 9 PM ET, new episodes of House of the Dragon are released until the end of the first season on October 23rd.
