Although estimates of the quantity of neon stocks that chipmakers have on hand vary, production could be affected if the conflict drags out, according to Angelo Zino (an analyst at CFRA).

He stated that if stockpiles run dry by April and chipmakers have no orders in other regions, it could lead to further supply chain constraints and the inability of manufacturing the end-product for key customers.

Ingas was producing 15,000 to 20,000 meters of neon per month before the invasion. This was according to Nikolay Avdzhy (the company’s chief commercial office), in an email to Reuters.

The company’s headquarters are in Mariupol which has been under siege from Russian forces. The Russian military destroyed a maternity facility in the city on Wednesday. This was deemed a war crime by Kyiv and Western allies. Moscow claimed that the hospital had been taken over by Ukrainian fighters and was no longer in use.
