So, this Monday, President Biden with The Department of Justice announced that the new guns should be sold as other guns. It must be 3D printed and sold as assembly kits. The other Rule is that the commercial manufacturers of ghost guns should include serial numbers on the weapon.

The sellers should have a federal license and do a background check before selling the gun. The seller and the customers must have all legal documents and a good, trustworthy background. The seller must keep all the firearms records and maintain data for at least 20 years.

In this important declaration, the President picked up a ghost gun and displayed how easy it was to assemble it. Anyone can assemble it, and no traceable elements are present on the weapon.

Vice President Kamala Harris, a former prosecutor, noted that ghost guns pose “an especially grave threat to the safety of our communities” because of how easy they are to obtain and how difficult they are to trace. 
“We call them ghost guns because they can’t be traced, but make no mistake — they are real,” said Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco. “They can shoot to kill, and they do.”

The Department of Justice is against ghost arms as anyone can buy these offline and online without any background check. Additionally, this equipment can be turned into deadly serialized firearms using products from home. 

The mass shootings of 2021 are clear-cut evidence of their harmful nature. There were so many incidents in 2021 where the killing took from ghost guns, or the gun was obtained at the scene. Biden, along with the Department of Justice, assured last year that the action is under process. So, now it is finally open and clear.
